Privacy Policy

AegisClient ("we", "our", or "us") is a VPN protocol client utility. This Privacy Policy explains what data the application handles and how. The application does not include any in-app purchases, does not sell any digital content or services, and does not link to any external payment.

1. Information We Collect

The app collects only the minimum data required to function as a VPN protocol client:

• Configuration code — a code entered manually by you to load proxy server parameters. Stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device.
• Authentication parameters — credentials required by the VPN protocol handshake (if required by the server you configure). Stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. Never transmitted to the developer's servers.
• Device identifier (IDFV on iOS) — used solely for protocol-level device identification. Not used for advertising. IDFA is not used.
• App version / OS version — used only to assist with troubleshooting.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect browsing history or visited websites.
• We do not collect DNS queries or resolved domains.
• We do not collect, log, or store VPN traffic content, packet payloads, or any data passing through the tunnel.
• We do not collect your real IP address or geolocation.
• We do not use IDFA (advertising identifier).
• We do not integrate any analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Umeng), advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not use cookies or any other tracking technologies.

3. How We Use Information

• Configuration code / authentication parameters — required to complete the VPN protocol handshake.
• Device identifier — used by the VPN protocol for connection identification.
• Version information — used only to help diagnose connection problems.

All data is used solely to establish VPN connectivity. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or commercial analytics.

4. Third-Party Services

This application does not integrate any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with, sold to, or transferred to any advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Storage

• On your device: Authentication tokens and encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain (with AfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly protection level, not synchronized to iCloud). VPN configuration files are stored in the app sandbox using AES-256-GCM encryption.
• On our servers: The developer of this application does not store any user data on its own servers.
• VPN traffic: Processed in-memory by the iOS system VPN extension (NEPacketTunnelProvider). Never written to disk. Never transmitted to any logging server. A strict no-logs policy is enforced.

6. Data Security

All sensitive local data (tokens, encryption keys) is stored in the iOS Keychain. Cached configuration data is protected with AES-256-GCM encryption. All outbound network communications use encrypted protocols (TLS/SSL).

7. Your Rights

You may remove all locally stored data at any time by opening the app and selecting Settings → Delete Account. After deletion, no data relating to you remains on the device or with the developer.

8. Children's Privacy

AegisClient is not intended for users under the age of 17.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
